The eighth in a family of nine, Ahmed is the youngest of his siblings (five brothers and three sisters). Although he is of Pashtun ethnicity, he was born in Karachi, which is located in Sindh, Pakistan.

ABRAR AHMAD CRICKET CAREER

Rashid Latif Academy was where Ahmad began his career as a cricket player. But on February 10, 2017, during the 2017 Pakistan Super League, he made his first appearance in a Twenty20 game for Karachi Kings.
After that, on November 20, 2020, he made his first official appearance for Sindh in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for the 2020–21 season. Soon after that, he was selected to be part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad that would travel to Sri Lanka in October 2021 for their trip.
On November 11 of the same year, he made his debut in List A for the Pakistan Shaheens against the Sri Lanka A cricket team. This match took place in 2021.
